Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for the deployment, administration, optimization, and support of VMware virtual infrastructure, covering both compute (vSphere/ESXi) and storage platforms (SAN and vSAN). Key requirements include 10+ years of experience managing enterprise VMware environments, strong expertise in VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter), and strong experience with SAN storage technologies (FC/iSCSI/NFS) and vSAN. Hands-on knowledge of HA, DRS, vMotion, VMFS, Datastore design, Storage multipathing, and latency troubleshooting is essential. Familiarity with backup, recovery, and DR fundamentals, along with documentation and operational excellence, is required.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience managing enterprise VMware environments
- Strong expertise in VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter)
- Strong experience with SAN storage technologies (FC/iSCSI/NFS) and vSAN
- Hands-on knowledge of HA, DRS, vMotion, VMFS, Datastore design, Storage multipathing and latency troubleshooting
- Backup, recovery, and DR fundamentals
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced performance tuning and capacity planning
- Experience with VMware NSX or Cloud Foundation
- Automation scripting (PowerCLI/Python)
- Enterprise-level disaster recovery implementation
- Multi-site data center management
