Job Description

Role Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to lead the VLSI development and design of the system by defining various functionalities, architecture, layout, and implementation for clients.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead End-to-End VLSI Components & Hardware Systems:
- Design, analyze, develop, modify, and evaluate VLSI components and hardware systems.
- Determine architecture and logic design verification through software for component and system simulation.
- Analyze designs to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results for prototype and production VLSI solutions.
- Conduct system evaluations and recommend design modifications or equipment repairs.
- Allocate modules for testing/verification, review data, and manage project documentation.
- Provide guidance on technical escalations and review regression testing data.
- Prepare documentation including test cases and product scripts for IP, and publish to clients for feedback.
- Ensure all project documentation meets client technical specifications.

2. Customer Support & Governance:
- Identify and recommend system improvements for technical performance.
- Inspect VLSI components & hardware systems for regulatory and safety compliance.
- Serve as the primary technical support contact for clients, debugging complex in-service engineering problems.
- Evaluate operational systems, prototypes, and proposals; recommend repairs or design modifications based on environment, service, cost, and capabilities.

3. Team Management:
- Forecast talent requirements, hire resources, and train direct reports.
- Ensure compliance with onboarding/training standards and build an internal talent pool.
- Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and address performance issues.
- Drive engagement initiatives, track satisfaction scores, and exercise employee recognition.

Performance Parameters:
- Verification timeliness, quality, coverage, UVM standards compliance, and customer responsiveness.
- 100% on-time MIS/report generation and complete project documentation.
- Team training metrics, attrition rates, and employee satisfaction scores.
