Role Purpose: The purpose of this role is to lead the VLSI development and design of the system by defining various functionalities, architecture, layout, and implementation for clients.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead End-to-End VLSI Components & Hardware Systems: - Design, analyze, develop, modify, and evaluate VLSI components and hardware systems. - Determine architecture and logic design verification through software for component and system simulation. - Analyze designs to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results for prototype and production VLSI solutions. - Conduct system evaluations and recommend design modifications or equipment repairs. - Allocate modules for testing/verification, review data, and manage project documentation. - Provide guidance on technical escalations and review regression testing data. - Prepare documentation including test cases and product scripts for IP, and publish to clients for feedback. - Ensure all project documentation meets client technical specifications.
2. Customer Support & Governance: - Identify and recommend system improvements for technical performance. - Inspect VLSI components & hardware systems for regulatory and safety compliance. - Serve as the primary technical support contact for clients, debugging complex in-service engineering problems. - Evaluate operational systems, prototypes, and proposals; recommend repairs or design modifications based on environment, service, cost, and capabilities.
3. Team Management: - Forecast talent requirements, hire resources, and train direct reports. - Ensure compliance with onboarding/training standards and build an internal talent pool. - Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and address performance issues. - Drive engagement initiatives, track satisfaction scores, and exercise employee recognition.
Performance Parameters: - Verification timeliness, quality, coverage, UVM standards compliance, and customer responsiveness. - 100% on-time MIS/report generation and complete project documentation. - Team training metrics, attrition rates, and employee satisfaction scores.
