SAP Advanced Business Application Programming Consultant

SAP professionals design, implement, and deploy SAP solutions to achieve defined business goals. This role requires maintaining skills in SAP application process design, configuration, development, integration, testing, deployment, and technical architecture. You will work directly with clients to gather requirements, align technology with business strategy, and serve as an internal/external expert with deep functional or industry domain knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Lead SAP solution design and development initiatives.
- System Integration: Integrate SAP applications with external systems using RFC, BAPI, IDocs, and Web Services to ensure seamless data flow and process integration.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize ABAP code and SQL queries, conduct performance analysis, and tune applications for maximum efficiency.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support for existing SAP applications, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with functional teams to resolve technical problems.
- Collaboration and Documentation: Partner with functional and technical teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation (technical specs, user guides, test plans), participate in code reviews, and enforce coding standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an SAP ABAP Consultant with strong expertise in ABAP programming, including RICEFW (Reports, Forms, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Workflows) and code optimization.
- Proficiency in ABAP Objects, ALV Grid, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and the Enhancement Framework.
- Solid understanding of SAP architecture, Data Dictionary, and integration techniques.
- Expertise in modern/new ABAP syntax.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in SAP PI/PO.
- Minimum of 2 full-cycle SAP implementations.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and associated technologies (CDS views, OData services, Fiori).
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Familiarity with core SAP modules (SD, MM, FI/CO, HR, RE, Solution Manager).
- Demonstrated experience in ABAP performance optimization and tuning.
- SAP ABAP certification is a plus.
