GCP/GECX Developer - Consultant, Data and Insights

Position Summary
Level: Consultant, Data and Insights
As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high-quality work products within due timelines. On a need basis, you will mentor and/or direct junior team members and liaise with onsite/offshore teams to understand functional requirements.

Work you’ll do:
• Independently design, build, and deliver medium/high complexity stories. Use standard estimation methods for user stories.
• Own medium-complex modules; perform PoCs, grooming, and present design options to TLs. Drive technical grooming; participate in solutioning and PoCs with option analysis.
• Engage juniors to follow best practices; perform code reviews and fixes with minimal oversight. Coordinate with onshore/client teams; ensure juniors understand requirements; build client rapport.
• Define release management strategy, pipeline management, and repository integration with DevOps. Drive meeting agendas; support weekly status reports. Elevate industry knowledge; leverage Delivery Excellence/automation/Smartstarts.
• Configure and extend Agentforce/GenAI components; perform PoCs for GenAI-powered features. Mentor Analysts on technical tasks; support technical solutioning and PoCs.

Qualifications:
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
• 3–7 years of hands-on software development experience with at least 2+ years on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications using GCP services including Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Firestore, GCS, and Cloud SQL
• Working knowledge of GECX (Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience) platform components including Dialogflow CX, Agent Builder, Agent Assist, CCAI Insights, GTP / voice integration and Vertex AI Conversation
• Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js/JavaScript, REST & gRPC APIs, GraphQL for building APIs, microservices, and webhook fulfillment logic for conversational agents
• Experience on Generative AI (Vertex AI / Gemini APIs, Prompt engineering)
• Experience integrating GCP-based solutions with external APIs, CRM platforms, and telephony systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Cloud Build, Git, GitLab, or GitHub Actions)
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to established design and quality standards
• Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and technical reviews as part of Agile delivery teams
• Collaborate with leads, architects, and onsite client teams to build and test GCP/GECX solutions

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
• Exposure to Vertex AI, Gemini APIs, and prompt engineering concepts
• Familiarity with containerization using Docker and orchestration on GKE
• Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Developer certification preferred
• Basic understanding of conversational UX design and intent/entity modeling in Dialogflow CX
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, or Datadog

Education: BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
